Terms of Service

Welcome to MIRA. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MIRA mobile application and related services ("Services") provided by Motorsync Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 12700123).

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

1. Nature of Our Service

MIRA is a technology platform that connects consumers with automotive dealerships and related services, powered by artificial intelligence and automation. It is important to understand:

  • MIRA is a technology platform only. We do not sell vehicles or provide financial advice.
  • All finance is arranged by FCA-authorised brokers, primarily Choose My Car Ltd (FRN 829450).
  • We facilitate connections between you and dealerships but are not party to any transaction you enter into with them.
  • Our AI-powered features (chat assistance, license plate recognition, document scanning, face verification) are provided to enhance your experience but may not be 100% accurate. Always verify important information independently.

Important: We do not provide financial advice. Any finance-related decisions should be made after careful consideration and, where appropriate, consultation with an independent financial adviser.

2. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a resident of the United Kingdom
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
  • Not be prohibited from using the Services under applicable law

3. Account Registration

Some features of our Services require you to create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

4. Vehicle Information

Vehicle stock, specifications, and pricing displayed through our Services are supplied directly by dealerships. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • We give no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or availability of vehicle information
  • Prices may change without notice and may differ from in-dealership prices
  • Vehicle availability is subject to change and prior sale
  • Images are for illustration purposes and may not reflect the actual vehicle

5. Financial Services Disclaimer

Important: Motorsync Ltd is NOT authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We do not provide financial services, credit broking, or financial advice.

MIRA is a vehicle search and information platform only. Please note:

  • We do not process, handle, or store any finance applications
  • We do not provide credit broking services or arrange finance on behalf of users
  • We do not provide financial advice or recommendations
  • Any finance-related enquiries should be directed to the dealer or an FCA-authorised broker of your choice
  • We are not responsible for any finance arrangements made between you and third parties

If you require vehicle finance, we recommend contacting the dealer directly or seeking advice from an FCA-authorised credit broker. You can verify a firm's FCA authorisation at register.fca.org.uk.

6. Dealer Referral Programme

We may pay participating dealerships a referral fee under the following circumstances:

  • If you first download MIRA while at a participating dealership showroom
  • And subsequently complete a vehicle purchase elsewhere through MIRA within 90 days
  • The referral fee is £100 and is paid to the original dealership

This programme does not affect the price you pay for any vehicle or service.

7. Notifications and Communications

By using our Services, you agree to receive:

  • Transactional notifications: Updates about your enquiries, applications, and account
  • Marketing communications: Price alerts, new stock notifications, offers, and promotions

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time through the app settings. Transactional notifications required for the operation of the Services cannot be disabled.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Motorsync Ltd, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United Kingdom and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

8a. Vehicle Data Aggregation

As part of our Services, we collect, aggregate, and display vehicle listing information from publicly accessible sources, including dealer websites. By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Public data collection: We automatically collect publicly available vehicle listing data, including vehicle specifications, pricing, images, and dealer contact information that dealers have made publicly accessible on their websites
  • AI classification: We use artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to classify, categorise, and enhance vehicle data for improved searchability and user experience
  • Data accuracy: While we strive to ensure accuracy, vehicle information displayed on MIRA is sourced from third-party dealer websites and may not always reflect current availability, pricing, or specifications. Users should verify all details directly with the dealer
  • No endorsement: The display of dealer listings does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any dealer or vehicle

For dealers: If you are a motor dealer and wish to claim your listing, update your information, request removal of your data, or opt out of our aggregation service, please contact us at info@motorsync.co.uk. We will respond to valid requests within 14 business days.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Services shall not exceed £100
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not responsible for the actions, products, or services of third parties, including dealerships and finance providers

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Motorsync Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. You may also request deletion of your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Effective date" at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as adding a statement to our app or sending you a notification). Your continued use of the Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
